Dubai, UAE; May 18, 2010: Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building described as ‘A Living Wonder’ now has its first residential community. The world’s first Armani Residences in Burj Khalifa recently welcomed its first residents.

Close on the heels of the launch of the world’s first Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa, Emaar Properties, the developer of the mixed-use tower, has handed over homes to buyers of Armani Residences, who now have the world’s most prestigious address.

Mr Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director – UAE, Emaar Properties, said: “From ‘History Rising,’ to ‘A Living Wonder,’ Burj Khalifa has now truly come to life with the first residential community in the luxurious Armani Residences.”

Home-owner orientation for The Residences, luxury homes in Burj Khalifa, and The Corporate Suites, a collection of high-end offices also in the tower, is currently underway.

Armani Residences is developed through a collaboration of Emaar and Giorgio Armani S.p.A. Personally designed by fashion legend Giorgio Armani, the one- and two-bedroom apartments in Armani Residences celebrate luxurious modern living. Located on levels 9 to 16 of the tower, they offer spectacular views of the city and Downtown Dubai.

Ranging in size from 100 to 200 sq metres, the homes are a reflection of Giorgio Armani’s personal approach to elegance and style. Every aspect of the home has been carefully designed to reflect his impeccable and refined taste.

With its landmark location inside the iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building developed by Emaar, the elegant Armani Hotel Dubai is poised to be the most exclusive hospitality destination in the city and a new benchmark for the industry globally.

Occupying floors concourse to 8 and levels 38 & 39 of Burj Khalifa, the hotel features 160 luxurious guest rooms and suites, eight innovative restaurants, exclusive retail outlets and a serene spa. وينفرد "فندق أرماني دبي" بموقعه الاستثنائي بداخل "برج خليفة"، أطول ناطحة سحاب في العالم بأسره والذي طورته شركة "إعمار"، ومن المتوقع أن يصبح الفندق الجديد واحداً من أكثر الوجهات حصرية وفخامة في المدينة، ليرسي معايير غير مسبوقة على مستوى قطاع الضيافة في العالم.

ويضم "فندق أرماني دبي" ثلاثة منافذ تجارية حصرية: "أرماني جاليريا" للأزياء والإكسسوارات التي لم تكن من قبل متوفرة إلا من خلال دعوات حصرية، وهو المتجر الوحيد في دبي الذي يوفر مجموعة منتجات "أرماني بريفيه" الشهيرة؛ ومتجر "أرماني دولشي" للحلويات الفاخرة والذي يقدم تشكيلة فريدة من البسكويت والحلويات وغيرها؛ و"أرماني فيوري"، متجر الأزهار الذي يتيح للزوار اختيار أروع باقات الزهور ومجموعة حصرية من المزهريات التي صممها جورجيو أرماني شخصياً لتنسجم كل منها مع أشكال الأزهار نفسها.

وإلى جانب الفندق، يضم "برج خليفة" "أرماني للشقق الفندقية" بين الطابقين 9 و16 محتضناً 144 شقة فندقية خاصة وفاخرة هي أيضاً من تصميم جورجيو أرماني شخصياً بأسلوبه الرقيق والمتفرد.

ويمثل "فندق أرماني دبي" أولى ثمار التعاون بين كل من شركة "جورجيو أرماني" و"إعمار العقارية"، وهو الأول من بين مجموعة من الفنادق والمنتجعات والشقق الفندقية الفاخرة التي يتم التحضير لإنشائها في عدد من أهم المدن في العالم. وسيتم اطلاق ثاني فنادق العلامة التجارية "أرماني" في ميلان العام المقبل. ويجري التخطيط لإطلاق أول منتجعات "أرماني" في مراكش؛ وأول مجموعة فيلات "أرماني للشقق الفندقية" ضمن مشروع "مراسي" في مصر؛ إضافة على فنادق ومنتجعات جديدة في نيويورك وطوكيو وشنغهاي ولندن.

Armani to mentor 25 young fashion designers in preparation for widely anticipated fashion show


World-renowned fashion designer Giorgio Armani has selected the French Fashion University Esmod in Dubai as partner for an upcoming fashion show that will mark the opening of the Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa on April 27, 2010. The Italian designer will be mentoring 25 students from Esmod who will dress the participating catwalk models with Armani creations.

Armani chose the French Fashion University Esmod Dubai for its regional and global reputation, exceptional commitment to fashion, the high quality of the works of its students, and the overall dynamism of the region’s fashion scene. On top of that, trust has been a major factor that influenced Armani’s decision to choose Esmod Dubai as it takes a great deal of responsibility, professionalism and accuracy to perform this kind of task in such a high profile event. Since its 2006 launch in Dubai Academic City the institution has lived up to its status as the only French fashion university fully dedicated to professional fashion education in the Middle East.

Burj Khalifa the world's tallest building and Downtown Dubai take top honours

Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world which forms the iconic centerpiece of Downtown Dubai, has been named the winner of the mixed use project award in the prestigious Cityscape Awards for Real Estate in the Middle East and North Africa.

The awards are held in conjunction with Cityscape Abu Dhabi which runs until 21 April 2010 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and provide a valuable insight into current and future projects in the region.

Burj Khalifa is part of the two-square kilometre flagship development by Emaar called Downtown Dubai and, on completion, was named in honour of President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Burj Khalifa, Dubai's new urban masterpiece and the world's tallest man-made structure at 828 metres, is surrounded by hotels, the region's biggest shopping mall, a world of entertainment options, as well as commercial and residential developments that make up Downtown Dubai.

In their comments on Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai, the panel of international and regional judges said: "True to the notion of iconic, this development encompasses everything good in a mixed use development - a pleasant commercial working environment, a range of excellent hospitality venues, world class shopping and a beautiful residential integration." Chris Speller, Group Director of Cityscape, added: "Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai have given the world of real estate a new point of reference for modern living and are clear and worthy winners of this prestigious award." The Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs were associate sponsor for the Cityscape Awards for Real Estate in the Middle East and North Africa with headline sponsors Boomerang Automated Parking and Self Storage, Gaggenau, Signature Kitchen and Jotun Paints.
